Guide to the Laboratories

The laboratories used by the Meteorology-Climatolgy field are mainly situated in the 7 storey high Laboratory of Advanced Sciences A ,A (So-go-Kenkyuu-Tou A) to the west of the University of Tsukuba Central bus station (Tsukuba-Daigaku-Chuuou station).

* Take the LEFT TURNING bus(, hidari- mawari) for access to the Laboratory of Advanced Sciences (10mins)

* Take the RIGHT TURNING bus(,migi-mawari) for access to the Center for Computational Sciences (10mins)

N.B. Currently, construction work is being held at the bus terminal of Tsukuba Station. The University Circulation Bus stops are situated on the far western side of the terminal, nearest to the shopping centre.

• Tsuchiura station West exit bus terminal 2.
• Access via the local bus to Tsukuba University Centre, (Tsukuba Daigaku Chuuou) (40mins)

Joban express way: details

• Sakura-Tsuchiura ()ICNational Highway route 354 towards Tsukuba
• Turn right at the Sasage () Junction and head towards Shimodate() Shimozuma () via the Gakuen-Higashi-Oodoori road ()
• Proceed for 7.5 km, turn left at the University of Tsukuba central area junction () and ask for precise directions at the information booth.

Route 6 National Highway

From Tokyo

• Head North via the Route 6 National Highway and turn left at the Gakuen Higashi-Oodoori entrance junction () towards Tsukuba.
• Proceed for 10km, turn left at the University of Tsukuba central area junction () and ask for precise directions at the information booth.

From Mito

• Head South from the route 6 National Highway Tsuchiura Bypass. Veer off the bypass closest to the Gakuen Oohashi Minami junction () where you will see a signpost for Tsukuba.
• Following the directions on the signpost, turn right at the junction and head towards Tsukuba via the Tsuchiura Gakuen Prefectual Route () .
• Proceed for 6km and turn right at the Gakuen Higashi Junction () and head towards ShimodateEShimotsuma (E).
• Proceed for 2.5km, turn left at the University of Tsukuba central area junction () and ask for precise directions at the information booth.
